Sarah Brocklehurst was a third year English student at New Hall and President of one of the oldest and largest drama clubs within the University.
The ADC was founded in 1885, a few years after a university statute specifically forbidding drama was lifted. It now puts on about 20 shows a year. Many well-known actors have been members of the ADC including Trevor Nunn, Peter Hall, Derek Jacobi, Ian McCellan and Corin Redgrave.
