Sam Sword was in his second year at Girton College studying Social and Political Sciences.

Footlights is one of the most famous clubs in the University. The comedy troupe was established in 1883 and has spawned many famous actors and comedians including Douglas Adams, Clive Anderson, Sasha Baron Cohen, Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Peter Cook, David Frost, Stephen Fry, Germaine Greer, Eric Idle, Clive James, Hugh Laurie, Rory McGrath, Jonathan Miller, Bill Oddie, Sue Perkins, Jan Ravens, Griff Rhys Jones and Emma Thompson.
