Stephen Bourne has been the Chief Executive Officer of the oldest printing and publishing house in the world since 2002.

 

Cambridge University Press is part of the University of Cambridge, and specialises in printing and publishing academic and educational books.

 

The first University Press book was printed in 1584, just over 100 years after William Caxton set up a press at Westminster. Currently it publishes in the region of 2,000 new titles and 200 journals a year. The Press has offices in 40 countries and employs some 1,750 people worldwide. Published authors include John Milton, Isaac Newton, Stephen Hawking and Sir Nicholas Stern.
