Martin Rees is Professor of Cosmology and Astrophysics at the Institute of Astronomy, President of the Royal Society and the Astronomer Royal. He has published over 500 papers on such subjects as galaxy formation, microwave background radiation, black holes and quasars.
The Master's Lodge at Trinity College was built in Elizabethan times, but has been substantially altered by various Masters. Trinity is the largest of all the colleges at Cambridge and Oxford. It has about 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students and over 160 fellows. Trinity has produced six British prime ministers, numerous heads of state from around the world and 32 winners of the Nobel Prize.
